I am sorry that this post is coming in barely as the month ends, but I was having a really difficult time choosing the book. I was debating between "A Thousand Splendid Suns" and "Playing for Pizza." I am really excited to read both of them, but after reading "The Kite Runner" a couple of years ago, I know how exhausting Houssain's writing is, and I started reading "Suns" and know it will be similar. So even though I have every intention of reading both, I am choosing "Playing for Pizza" by John Grisham to keep our January reading light. I hope that is OK with all of you and I hope someone else chooses "Suns" because I would love to see a discussion on it! Happy (light) reading!
