Book Selection for August

Hi Friends,

The book selection for August is "First Mothers: The Women Who Shaped the Presidents" by Bonnie Angelo. I just finished it and absolutely loved reading about all of the mothers of the presidents. I was impressed by their integrity, intelligence, and perseverance. They have inspired me to be a better mother. The book is over 400 pages so just pick your favorite presidents (or least favorites) to read about if you run out of time. The women I found the most interesting were the mothers of FDR, JFK, Gerald Ford, Jimmy Carter, George Bush, and Bill Clinton. Don't skip Bill Clinton's mom--that chapter is eye-opening and hilarious.
