"The Spyglass" is a story of faith from the "Virtues Collection," written by Richard Paul Evans. It tells of a Kingdom that was known for its prosperity, but soon became run down. The buildings needed repair, and the farms could not grow enough food for the kingdom. The people forgot why the kingdom was once great.One day a traveler needed rest and came upon the castle. The King tells the traveler the plight of his kingdom. The traveler shows the King the way the kingdom could be, through the spyglass. The King, not knowing it was his own kingdom saw beautiful rolling hills, magnificent gardens, and great cathedrals through the glass. At the end of the story the traveler tells the King, "You have seen what might be. Now go and make it so."
This story has a wonderful message of what we can do when "the eye of faith sees without bounds or limits!"

My Mother-in-Law got this book for me a few Christmas' ago. I love the message and how faith is symbolized through the spyglass. I also love the artwork!
Such a great way to teach kids the principle of faith, my younger ones got restless, but Quinton liked it, and I actually loved it.
