This is an oldy but a goody and one that I never tire of reading. It brings back fun memories of when my kids were younger and would sit mesmerized in my lap and say "Read it again, read it again!" When Tyler was about 5, my mom and I took him to a ballet based on this book and it was so fun to see this little boy's imagination come to life on stage. For those of you who are not familiar with this book, Max is a little boy who gets in trouble and is sent to bed with no supper. He then imagines that he sails to where the wild things are and they raise a wild rumpus and they make him king of the wild things. In the end, he comes back to his own room where his supper is waiting for him. It is so fun to read and to use different voices and to just enjoy!

Where the Wild Things Are

One of my all time favorites! I need to own this, it helps me remember what the mind frame of my kids is when they are upset.
