Childrens' Book Review- Little Hoot and Little Pea

Two of our favorite children's books are Little Hoot and Little Pea by Amy Krouse Rosenthal and Jen Corace. by Amy Krouse Rosenthal and Jen Corace. Jen Corace is a lovely artist in her own right and the illustrations are perfectly delightful. The stories are sweet and simple. Little Hoot is the story of an owl who feels bad that he has to stay up late while all of his friends get to go to bed early. Little Pea is the story of a pea who has to eat candy for dinner every night and he can't have his favorite dessert (spinach) unless he finishes it all. My children love the turnabout and the stories are cleverly written and engaging. The books themselves are a beautiful addition to any collection.

The librarian just read 'Little Pea' at our library's story time last week! It is darling and, for the preschool set, completely hilarious! Thanks for the recommendation!
